Installations

From 2005 to 2007, I had the honor of creating a series of large-scale acrylic-painted mandalas for a religious celebration at Radha Madhav Dham (formerly Barsana Dham) in Austin, Texas. Inspired by the traditional Rangoli designs found on the property, these vibrant ground coverings celebrated the beauty and cultural significance of this ancient art form.

The mandalas were featured in the Breezeway area as part of the festivities, offering a visually stunning homage to the rich traditions of Indian art and spirituality. Each mandala was meticulously hand-painted to replicate the intricate patterns of Rangoli, blending bold colors and symmetrical designs to create a breathtaking visual experience.

Located at 400 Barsana Road, this sacred space provided the perfect backdrop for these works, combining the serenity of the Dham with the lively energy of the celebration. These ground coverings were more than just decorations—they were an embodiment of joy, devotion, and community spirit.
