The ocean is more than inspiration for me—it is my sanctuary, my safe place, where the waves meet the heavens and the marine life within whispers stories of beauty, strength, and mystery. The name MarSea is a playful reflection of my name, Marcy, and the Spanish word mar, meaning sea—a connection that speaks to my soul.

Growing up with a dream of residing in Laguna Beach, I found myself deeply influenced by the iconic work of Robert Wyland. His celebration of marine life and commitment to ocean conservation left a lasting impression, inspiring my art and my love for marine ecosystems. Though my life is now rooted in Texas, the ocean is never far from my heart. I dream of it every night and travel often, capturing photographs of turtles and sea creatures that influence my work.
