Feeling blessed. Just got the news! “SHY” by Marcy Ann Villafana was accepted into the “AVAA Summer Show” This is put on by the Austin Visual Art Association. A wonderful group of artist which i am so blessed to be around! “AVAA SUMMER SHOW” – Austin Visual Art Association – Austin Art Space, 7739 Northcross Drive, Austin, TX – Juror – Kelli Montgomery. What a super way to wake up! I received a notice fro ACC.. “The Austin Art League Group 1 would like to award 5 – $1000 scholarships this year to outstanding art students featured at the 39th Annual ACC Student Exhibition. Members of the Scholarship Committee meet at the Dougherty Arts Center and reviewed all the artwork. The selected artists are the following: Osvaldo Bins Ely Marcy Ann Villafana Gayle Sterling Annika Smith Alyse Mervosh We would like the students to be our guests and attend our annual luncheon on May 13 at 11:30am at Chez Zee. Just received the notice, I have been Juried into the Exhibition in Dallas. The Texas Visual Arts Association has invited all artists whether a member or not to join the 2015 TVAA Open Show. There is no theme for this show, and all mediums are welcome. TVAA Gallery – New Members Show
WOW! I dropped off my work yesterday at the TVAA gallery. What a lovely space!!! Everyone there was so nice. Being a new member this is the first time for me to show there. I am so blessed and thankful to be able to participate with such wonderful artist. I was very humbled to see all the quality and creative works that I will be displayed among! To say this is an honor is such an understatement!! I have no words.
