26th ANNUAL VAST MEMBERS EXHIBITION – Marcy Ann Villafana
Visual Arts Society of Texas exhibits at UNT on the Square for first time YEAH! Marcy Ann Villafana will be there with her new art piece “A New Awakening” DENTON (UNT), Texas — Artists and enthusiasts will come together to celebrate creativity at the 26th annual VAST (Visual Arts Society of Texas) Members Exhibition Aug. 12-22 (Wednesday-Saturday) at the UNT on the Square gallery, 109 N. Elm Street in Denton. This is the first year the exhibition will be held at the UNT on the Square gallery. Thank you very much for participating in the Cover and Content Competition for the Art & Beyond Special Nude Issue 2015 “The Body Beautiful!” I received the final decision made by our juror Lilianne Milgrom, an international artist, curator and writer on the arts for the artwork chosen to be published in the Special Nude Issue 2015. Congratulations to the Cover Competition Winners! Barbara Hazen artwork “Rising Above ” won the Front Cover for the Special issue. The Inside Front Cover won Eric Badoud for his work “La Femme a la Fenetre”. The Back Cover won an artwork “Morning Miads” by Iliyan Ivanov. I received a notice fro ACC.. “The Austin Art League Group 1 would like to award 5 – $1000 scholarships this year to outstanding art students featured at the 39th Annual ACC Student Exhibition. Members of the Scholarship Committee meet at the Dougherty Arts Center and reviewed all the artwork.
